Impact

The Minister of the Environment exonerates 21 of Ibama's 27 regional superintendents. The superintendents of Tocantins, Sergipe, Santa Catarina, Roraima, Rondônia, Rio Grande do Norte, Piauí, Pernambuco, Paraíba, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Maranhão, Goiás, Espírito Santo, Distrito Federal, Ceará, Bahia, Amazonas, Amapá, Alagoas and Acre have been removed.
