Measure

The Yanomami and Ye'kuanna Indigenous Health District Council (Condisi-YY) sent a letter to the authorities asking them to act urgently to prevent the continuation of the violence of the miners in the region, however, there was no sending of protection personnel by any Brazilian institution. Impact

The failure to send security troops to Yanomami indigenous lands is contrary to what was determined by the Brazilian Federal Court. In addition, it exposes indigenous villages to situations of violence, risk of genocide and contamination by disease vectors.
