On 11 April, the people of Ecuador will cast their final vote to elect the country's next president. But as we approach the election, the attacks on its democracy are escalating rapidly.

In the last month alone, we have seen calls for a military coup published in Ecuador's most popular newspapers, efforts by legal authorities to disqualify candidates with false accusations of fraud, and an illegal attempt by the Attorney General to confiscate the voting databases in order to annul the first-round results.

We are preparing a return to Ecuador for its second round on 11 April, and we are once again asking for your help to reach our target of $8,000 for the entire delegation.

Your solidarity is essential. All across Ecuador, activists have made one message clear: international support has been and will be critical to their efforts to reclaim the institutions of democracy.

That is why we are asking our friends and members to consider making a contribution to help send our delegation to Ecuador.

Our last trip to Ecuador was funded exclusively by people like you — and we had a huge impact in preserving the integrity of Ecuador's elections. Now, we need your help to bring the Progressive International back for the second round.

Can you pitch in and help protect democracy in Ecuador at its most critical hour?
